Right Angle Gearbox

Right angle gearbox is a kind of gearbox with crossed-axis gears at the right angle to have the axis offset. Commonly, right angle gearboxes are realized with bevel gear teeth.

Bevel gear can be combined with the planetary gear to realize a wide range of multiplication factors and a wide range of uses in many industrial applications.

The efficiency level of bevel gearboxes is typically lower than the planetary gearboxes. But right angle gearbox can be used when the amount of installation space is limited, or an angular arrangement between the drive and the output is required by the application.

The advantages of Right Angle Gearbox:

Use when installation space is limited

High precision

Low noise

High torque
